The early stages of the 2025 OATCCC indoor track and field season rolls on this weekend with a pair of meet offerings on the docket.

Competition is scheduled for the SPIRE Institute and Muskingum University with the SPIRE High School Holiday Classic and the Muskingum December High School Meet.

The MileSplit squad will be out in full force at SPIRE for comprehensive meet coverage.

Notably on the SPIRE start lists is Sean Reith (Providence Pastures Running Club), who's set for 1600 meter racing duties.

Reith, a promising freshman, is the current early season state leader in both the 1600 (4:23.00) and 800 (2:01.00) via his work at the Kent State High School Series opener last weekend.

Despite his youthful status, Reith has been on our radar for a while now following a Sectional 1 Mile win at RunningLane and a Middle School 1 mile victory at Brooks PR last spring plus a triumph in the 1 mile event for Middle Schoolers last winter at New Balance Nationals Indoor.

His 4:23 flat mark currently resides as a state No. 1 overall and a national No. 1 for underclassmen (2027-2028 grads). Reith's 2:01 800 also sits atop Ohio's rankings.

With some of Beavercreek's top athletes entered in Saturday's 1600 near Reith's seed mark, we could be in store for fireworks at the SPIRE Institute.
