As the postseason continues, these four sophomores have had tremendous seasons and are beginning to peak at the right time.

Despite consistently competing against older athletes with more experience, these soon-to-be stars are not fazed and have successfully made a name for themselves before outdoor season has even begun.

Check out the next four 'Future Stars' of the indoor season.

JAMIER AVERETTE-BROWN

Wayne (Ohio)

Class of 2027

The sophomore sprinter has had a solid indoor campaign up to this point, running season bests of 6.82 and 21.41 in the 60m and 200m, respectively. Though he hasn't yet, Averette-Brown has been getting close to 6.75, his lifetime best from last March, which stood as the freshman class record for roughly ten months. Over the weekend at the Ashland High Performance Invite, the sophomore clocked 6.82 over 60m, a new sophomore No. 1 this season. The Ohioan also sits No. 2 in the class in the 200m, trailing the leader by less than a tenth of a second.

OLIVIA WOODS

St. Thomas More (La.)

Class of 2027

- - -

After having to sit out her freshman year due to LHSAA transfer rules, Woods has made up for lost time over the last seven weeks. Since the beginning of January, Woods has set a new PB in the pole vault four consecutive meets. She opened up the year with a clearance of 11-5.75, and has since cleared 13-0.25, a sophomore class lead. Not only is she the leader, but Woods is also the lone girl to clear 13-0 this winter, over two and a half feet ahead of the next best sophomore. She's also tied for the 12th best mark in sophomore class history. Woods captured her first Louisiana state title over the weekend in Baton Rouge.

TAYVEN CARTER

Delhi Charter (La.)

Class of 2027

- - -

One of two Louisiana athletes featured this week, Carter is coming off of a pair of PBs at the LHSAA State Indoor Championships in the horizontal jumps. The sophomore finished third with a best jump of 21-11.75, finishing a few inches outside of first. Carter also jumped 46-9 in the triple jump and was the only athlete to finish in the top three in both events. He helped the Gators finish fifth in the title race, nine points shy of the top three teams. With a few weeks in the season remaining, Carter ranks No. 9 and No. 1 amongst Louisiana sophomores all-time in the long and triple jump

ISABELLA SATEGNA

Fayetteville (Ark.)

Class of 2027

- - -

At her second Arkansas Indoor State ChampionshipsSategna was on a mission from the get-go, notching PBs in all three events she competed in. The standout opted for the 60m, 200m, and 60mH, and finished runner-up in both the 60m (7.68) and 60mH (8.89), while winning a state title in the 200m (24.73). Sategna's 60m performance makes her the second-fastest sophomore in state history, while her 200m and long jump marks are state class records. She tallied 22 points for her second-place squad, who held off Rogers by nine points.
