Creighton And Distance Relay Post Strong Times At All-Ohio For JCU Women's Track & Field

Encouraged by head coach Dara Ford, Megan Lutz had a top ten finish in the 800-meter run at the All-Ohio
In a meet as stacked as the Division III All-Ohio Indoor Track and Field Championships, points are hard to come by. Maureen Creighton and the distance medley relay were the point scorers for the John Carroll Blue Streaks, who finished 15th of 19 teams at the All-Ohio meet Saturday at Otterbein College in Westerville, Ohio.

Creighton was first in her heat and sixth overall in the preliminaries of the 55-meter dash with a time of 7.66, and then ran a 7.67 in the final to finish sixth as one of just two freshman in the race.

Megan Lutz was JCU's other top tenh finisher, earning 10th place in the 800-meter run with a season best time of 2:27.02.

The distance medley relay (names unknown) had John Carroll's top finish of the meet. In completing the race in a time of 13:13.04 to place fifth.

John Carroll also had a contingent of competitors at the Baldwin-Wallace Mid-February Meet Friday night in Berea, Ohio.

The top performers for the Blue Streaks were Kelly Grieve, who finished fourth in the 3,000-meter run (11:16.27), and Kate Skelly, who placed fifth in the 500-meter dash (1:27.26).
