With another week of the outdoor season ahead of us, we took a look at two of 'Ohio Future Stars,' from the Class of 2027.
Ryne Reynolds from Little Miami and Kareena Vandervort from Butler.

Starting with Ryne Reynolds (Little Miami 2027), the sophomore was a part of the Little Miami team during the fall that saw themselves make the state meet for the first time ever as a team, where he would end up finishing 22nd on his first appearance at Obetz. From the cross-country season alone, he made huge jumps since his freshman season with his 16:43.40 last year and then eventually went 15:09.41 for the 5000m distance this recent October.
The same can be said for his performance on the oval this recent winter, as he dipped under the 9:30 mark for the first time with a fifth-place finish in 9:22.79 at the 2025 OATCCC D1 Indoor State Meet.
With his season opener at the Wildcat Opener - Harrison, he ran a state leading time of 9:29.54 to open up the spring.
Moving onto Kareena Vandervort (Butler 2027), she already has made great improvements just on her sophomore outdoor opener already for the 100m Hurdles and 300m Hurdles at the Troy Up and Running Invitational, notching two personal bests (16.15 for the 100mH and 45.79 for the 300mH) along with an OH #1 for the 300m Hurdles.
This reflects off of her season bests of 18.91 and 48.76 last spring. Along with that, her versatility across other events was shown during this indoor season as well in her first season running the 400m, where she qualified for the OATCCC D2 Indoor State Meet and ran 1:02.23.
