Pioneer sophomore
Ashley Bault (Atwater, Waterloo) competed in both the Long Jump and Triple Jump at the non-scoring event. Bault improved her school record in the Long Jump with a first-place jump of 5.34m (17-06.25). She remains the second-ranked long jumper in the Ohio Athletic Conference. Bault, who is also the second-ranked triple jumper, then won the Triple Jump with a mark of 10.82m (35-06.00).
Sophomore
Kim Keesler (Chagrin Falls, Chagrin Falls) competed in both the Long Jump and Pole Vault at the Mid Week Open. Keesler jumped a season's best 4.97m (16-03.75) in the Long Jump and met the A Qualifying Standard for the
OAC Indoor Championship, which will take place in Marietta Feb. 26-27. The NCAA Provisional Qualifier in the Pole Vault also competed in her marquee event and finished the day by clearing 3.20m (10-06.00.)
Junior
Stephanie Hammond (Toledo, Central Catholic) also competed on Wednesday, taking part in the Weight Throw. Hammond, who is ranked fourth among her OAC competition in the event, threw a top mark of 13.76m (45-01.75) and placed fourth at the event.
Marietta returns to the track on Saturday (Feb. 20) when the Pioneers compete at the Mount Union Invitational. It will be the final tune-up for the
OAC Indoor Championship.
