In preparation for the Mid-American Conference indoor track and field championship next weekend, the Bowling Green State University track and field team sent two athletes to this weekend's Silverston Invitational.

The Silverston Invitational was held yesterday at the University of Michigan campus in Ann Arbor, Mich., at the U-M Indoor Track Building.

In a field represented by mostly Detroit-area schools, the Falcons were represented by junior Brittani McNeal and freshman Tatijana Jacobson

McNeal placed fifth in the long jump, recording a mark of 17-07 (5.36m).  Competing in the high jump, Jacobson posted a jump of 5-01 (1.55m), which earned her a seventh place finish.

The Falcons now set their sights on the MAC Indoor Championships, to be held in Mount Pleasant, Mich. on Friday, February 26 and Saturday, February 27.

A full preview of the championships will be posted on BGSUFalcons.com prior to the event.  Then, on both Friday and Saturday, return to BGSUFalcons.com for a complete recap and full results from each day of action.
