Ohio Girls Gatorade Player of The Year: Celia Schulte

With the 2024/2025 Outdoor Track and Field season now officially concluded, Gatorade has announced Hilliard Davidson's Celia Schulte as the winner for the Ohio Girls Gatorade Player of The Year for Track and Field following a stellar junior indoor and outdoor track and field campaign.

The award itself is dubbed one of the most prestigious awards that are given out to the top high school student-athletes in each of the 50 states for their respective sport, followed by a National Player of the Year in each sport (Basketball, Cross Country, Football, Soccer, Track & Field, Softball, and Volleyball).

Three factors are taken into consideration for one to be in the running for this award: Athletics, Academics, and Sportsmanship.
For Schulte, who has already committed to Furman University coming into her senior year, she has made herself known as one of the top middle-distance athletes in both Ohio and the entire country, posting up several nationally ranked marks along with a few state titles.
