Ohio Future Stars: Brice Fuller and Beth Baker

With the season underway, we already have a flurry of promising underclassman that are currently proving that they can hang with the big kids on the grass this fall.

For the first edition of 'Ohio Future Stars' for 2025, we take a look at Brice Fuller (Fairless 2028) and Beth Baker (Upper Arlington 2029)

Brice Fuller (Fairless 2028)

by David Nguyen

After a stellar freshman year that saw him finish 5th at the OHSAA Division 2 State Championship, 1st in the 3200m at the OATCCC D3 Indoor State Meet, and a 2nd place finish also in the 3200m at the OHSAA Division 2 State Championships, Brice Fuller kicked off his sophomore year in style, clocking a 15:28.40 over the 5000m distance at  Pickerington North XC Classic to currently stand as third in the state rankings.

Currently one of the quickest sophomores in the country for the sophomore class, Fuller will likely be one to look out for on top of the OHSAA Division 3 podium comes the state championships in November.

Beth Baker (Upper Arlington 2029)

by Kailey Zagst

For Beth Baker, she currently has the fastest freshman time in the state, running 18:46.92 at the Canal Winchester Invitational.

Just three days earlier she ran a solid 19:13.90 at the Pickerington North XC Classic where she took 8th in the championship race against some big names including Elena Aldrink and Katy Zang.

She also shined bright as a middle school athlete taking 5th at the OHSAA 7th & 8th Grade State Track Meet this past spring, running 5:14.87 in the 1600m. Baker also took 9th in the 800m run with a 2:24.23.

It will be exciting to see what she can accomplish not only in this cross country season but throughout her four years of high school.
