AUSTINTOWN, Ohio — The Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) office announced its Players of the Week Monday (March 29) afternoon, and Marietta College junior Nikki Stone (Madison, Madison) was named the OAC's Women's Track Field Athlete of the Week.

Stone helped Marietta's women take second place at the Cedarville Open Saturday with a victory in the Javelin Throw. The first-year thrower unleashed a toss of 37.52m (123-01), nearly 10 feet better than the previous record, which stood since 1988.

Marietta is back in action Saturday (April 3) when the Pioneers host five Ohio Athletic Conference schools in the OAC Gold Meet at Don Drumm Stadium. The schedule of events is slated to begin at 12 p.m.
