
Watch Live: 2026 CYUP Misfits Invite

On the horizon is one of our key partner meets for the 2026 Indoor Track and Field Season, the CYUP Misfits Invitational.
Slated for Saturday, January 17th at the state-of-the-art Dr. Conrad Worrill Center in 'The Windy City' that is Chicago, Illinois, the '26 edition of Misfits is the meet's 6th annual offering. While still in its early stages, the event has quickly become formidable in stature with national caliber athletes year-after-year making it a staple on their competition calendars. The 2026 iteration will be Presented by Tracksmith.
Among the deep assortment of elite talent being brought in to showcase their skills by meet managers Jeffery Bryant and Tony Jones is Ohio native Addyson (Addy) Abner. A senior class athlete who competes during OHSAA competition on behalf of Valley View High School, Abner contests Indoor as a veteran member of the TruSpeed Athletics Club.
We caught up with Abner to gauge her thoughts on a variety of subjects, including her goals for the 600m and 1,000m races at Misfits, her recent XC campaign, where she took 9th place overall at the Division 3 State Championships and her breakout track season last Spring, where she won the Division 2 800m state title and claimed 2nd overall at the USATF U20 Championships in the half-mile.
Abner also highlighted her training regimen, her goals moving forward and her recent college commitment to the University of Kentucky program in Lexington.
