CLEVELAND, OH - Three members of the Toledo track and field program - Julie Snyder, Michelle Sutherland and Danielle Thomas - were honored by the conference faculty athletic representatives on the 2010 Academic All-MAC Indoor Track and Field team.

Snyder, a nursing major, had a perfect 4.0 GPA last fall and carries a 3.89 cumulative GPA. The Celina, OH native finished sixth in the pentathlon at the MAC Indoor Championships in February. She recorded 15 additional top-10 finishes during the season, with her best performance coming in the high jump at the Indiana Relays where she took second. Snyder also placed third in the 55 hurdles at Western Michigan and third in the high jump on two occasions (Western Michigan, Great Dane Invitational). The sophomore also took third in pentathlon at Golden Flash Gala.

Sutherland, an athletic training major, had a second-place finish in the high jump at the MAC Championships. She won the high jump at Western Michigan and took second at both the Oiler Opener and Great Dane Invitational. The Maumee, OH native also had third-place finishes at Bowling Green Challenge and Silverston Invitational.

Thomas, a nursing major, had a perfect 4.0 GPA last fall and carries a 3.984 GPA overall. She finished third finish at the Golden Flash Gala and seventh at the Great Dane Invitational in the 1000 meter run. The Perrysburg, OH native also finished fifth in the 800 meter run at the Silverston Invitational.

A total of 43 student-athletes - 28 women and 15 men - were named to the Academic All-MAC teams. The total team members reflect the same number of all-conference selections or one-third of the nominees, whichever is greater.

The trio will be back in action for the Rockets next weekend as UT will split its squad to compete at the Penn Relays and the Hillsdale Relays.
