TOLEDO, OH - The University of Toledo track and field team will split its squad this weekend, sending some athletes to compete at the Penn Relays with others heading to the Hillsdale Relays.

The Penn Relays run from Thursday to Saturday, while the Hillsdale Relays take place Friday and Saturday.

In Philadelphia, Ari Fisher is scheduled to run the 3000-meter, while Audra Brown and Emma Kertesz are slated to run the 10,000-meter. Other distance runners competing include Dagna Sztykiel in the 3000-meter steeplechase and Lindsay Toussant in the 5000-meter run. In the field events, Michelle Sutherland and Julie Snyder will compete in the high jump, Kiah Douglas in the long jump and Alexandra Afloari and Yuhong Fu in the triple jump.

The Rockets are competing for the first time since a second-place effort at the Ohio Team Challenge on April 10. UT was led by Amanda Kaverman, who won both the 100 and 200 meter dash. Also scoring victories were Joyce Kennedy (800), Sztykiel (steeplechase), Douglas (long jump) and Yuhong Fu (triple jump).

Following this weekend, UT will return home for a pair of meets, the Toledo Invitational (April 29-30) and the Toledo Tune-Up (May 7). The MAC Championships take place May 13-15 at Buffalo.
