PHILADELPHIA - Alexandra Afloari's third-place finish in the triple jump and a school-record in the 4x200 at the Penn Relays highlighted the Toledo track and field team's efforts Friday, as the squad competed both in Philadelphia and at the Hillsdale Relays.

Afloari hit a mark of 40-6.00, which is the second-best mark in school history and the second-best in the conference this spring. It bettered her top jump of the spring by over three feet.

Meanwhile, Toledo's 4x200 team of Kimara Morgan, Sarah Woodrum, Danielle Jacoby and Amanda Kaverman set a school-record with a time of 1:39.76. The quartet finished 30th out of 62 teams and broke the 10-year record of 1:40.39.

Morgan, Kaverman and Woodrum were joined by Kristal Studer to compete in the sprint medley relay, and the team placed 27th with a mark of 4:06.22.

Just a few events are in the books in Hillsdale through day one action. Leading the early action was Richelle Gray, who finished eighth in the 5000-meter invite with her time of 19:35.62. Also, Ksenia Kriatchkova finished 10th in the long jump with a mark of 17-03.50.

The Rockets will conclude action at the Hillsdale Relays on Saturday.
