Each week, the Bowling Green State University Athletic Department names the Papa John's Athletes of the Week, as selected by the athletic communications department based on their athletic performances from the previous week. This week's winners are baseball player Derek Spencer and track and field athlete Sabrina Forstein.

Male Athlete of the Week

He led the team in at-bats (14), hits (eight), home runs (two), RBI (eight), total bases (17) and slugging percentage (1.214) and recorded the only BGSU triple on the weekend. He batted a combined .571 on the weekend, going 8-for-14 on the series. Spencer had multiple hits in all three games and two three-hit days on the weekend.

Female Athlete of the Week
