Megan Lutz is all smiles after earning a spot on the ESPN The Magazine/CoSIDA Academic All-District Team

Megan Lutz parlayed exceptional work in the classroom and on the tracks and courses toward a berth on the
ESPN the Magazine/CoSIDA
Academic All-District IV Women's Cross Country and Track & Field Team for the 2009-10 season.
Both Tillmaand and Lutz were chosen for the All-District IV second team.
Tillmaand, a four-year letterwinner in both cross country and track & field, is a Biochemistry major who carries a 3.82 grade point average. Just this season alone, Tillmaand was the 2010 OAC outdoor runner-up in 10,000-meter run, and posted five top 20 finishes in cross country, including a second consecutive honorable mention all-conference run at the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships.
For her efforts, Tillmaand also was an Academic All-OAc winner for the first time this year.
A sophomore English and Secondary Education double major who carries a 3.95 grade point average, Lutz has lettered twice in both track & cross country. She earned all-conference status by placing third in the 800-meter run both at the 2010 OAC Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field Championships, and was part of an All-OAC distance medley relay team at the 2010 conference indoor meet.
Lutz was an Academic All-OAC honorable mention this year as well.
Nominees for the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-American program must be key contributors in their sports with at least a 3.30 grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) for their career. In addition, the student-athletes must also have at least sophomore athlethic and academic standing.
District IV is composed of colleges and universities from the states of Ohio, Michigan, Alabama, Kentucky and Tennessee.
