NEW ORLEANS, La. — The United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) recently announced the Women's Division III All-Academic Track and Field Team, and six Marietta College student-athletes—sophomores Lauren Asbury (White Sulphur Springs, W.Va./Greenbrier East), Ashley Bault (Atwater/Waterloo), Kim Keesler (Chagrin Falls/Chagrin Falls) and Corryn Muench (Cold Spring, Ky./Newport Central Catholic), freshman Kristeva Rowe and senior Christi Tims (Olmsted Township/Olmsted Falls)—received recognition. In addition, the entire women's team was honored for its scholarly achievement throughout the 2009-10 academic year by being named a NCAA Division III All-Academic Team.

To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Track and Field Team, the student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative grade point average of 3.30 and have met the NCAA Division III Indoor or Outdoor automatic or provisional qualifying standard in their respective event. In 2010, 330 student-athletes representing 99 Division III colleges and universities made up the All-Academic team. In addition, there were 106 Division III women's track and field programs recognized as 2010 USTFCCCA All-Academic Track and Field Teams. The OAC had three other schools represented on the All-Academic Team list.

The women's squad, led by Head Coach Derek Stanley and his staff, finished second at both the 2010 Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Indoor and Outdoor Championships. Marietta's 33 female student-athletes combined to achieve a 3.26 grade point average.

Keesler automatically qualified and competed at the 2010 NCAA Division III Outdoor Championship, held May 27-29 in Berea, Ohio. The 2010 Indoor and Outdoor Pole Vault Champion finished 14th at the outdoor national meet. She also provisionally qualified for the NCAA Division III Indoor Championship last season.

Bault recorded provisional qualifying marks in the Long Jump for both the 2010 NCAA Division III Indoor and Outdoor Championships. She also finished runner-up in both the Long Jump and Triple Jump at the 2010 OAC Indoor Championship while winning the High Jump and taking second in the Triple Jump at the 2010 OAC Outdoor Championship.

Asbury, Muench and Tims teamed with sophomore Brittany Sims (Columbus/Eastmoor Academy) to capture the 4x100m Relay title at the 2010 OAC Outdoor Championship after finishing third in the 4x200m Relay at the 2010 OAC Indoor Championship, while Muench, Tims, Sims and Rowe combined to win the 4x400m Relay crown at the 2010 OAC Outdoor Championship after placing runner-up in the 4x400m Relay at the 2010 OAC Indoor Championship. They also recorded NCAA Division III Outdoor Championship provisional qualifying times in both events.
