MAC Preseason Poll Places Falcons Ninth in 2010

The Bowling Green State University women's cross country team was picked to finish ninth in the 2010 Mid-American Conference preseason poll, released on Wednesday (Sept. 1).
In the poll, conducted among the league's 12 coaches, the Falcons were chosen to finish ahead of Northern Illinois, Ball State and Buffalo.
The University of Toledo, who face the Orange and Brown in the season-opening meet, are the favorite to win the league championship at the MAC championship meet in Kalamazoo, Mich. this October. Toledo was last year's MAC runner-up and finished sixth in the NCAA Regionals.
Miami, last year's MAC champions, are the coaches' favorite to be runners-up in 2010.
