Tiffin Cross Country Carnival

Bay's Michael Brajdic ran the top time in the state and cracked the 15 minute barrier by finishing with a time of 14:54.89 to win the Boys Division 2 Varsity Race.

 

Hanna Neczypor of North Royalton, featured in the OHRunners article " Two of Ohio's Best,"  won the Tiffin Carnival Girls HS Div. 1 A race in a time of 17:22.73.  This bettered the course record of 17:33.17 set in 2008 by Katie Gillespie of Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy. In winning, Hanna has given notice in Ohio that she is ready to claim her first Ohio Girls, Div. 1 individual state championship. Christina Blair of Cuyahago Valley Christian Academy was the runner up with a time of 18:15.93, while  Michelle Thomas of Cin. Glen Este, one of Hanna's closet rivals, finished 3rd in a time of 18:21.79.

 

Mason Cross Country Invitational

Carmel's (IN) Chris Walden, the 2010 Indiana State Runner Up, ran a PR time of 14:59.54 in besting Zach Wills of Mason who ran 15:27.42.  The Carmel team, led by Walden, won the Mason Cross Country Invitational with a score of 44.  

 

Walden has very impressive school boy credentials.
