Toledo Sweeps Final MAC Runner of the Week Honors

10/28/2010 6:51:00 PM

Toledo runners Lei Bornhorst and Nick Brenner were recognized by the MAC office this week as the final Runners of the Week for the 2010 season. This is the first award for either Rocket, who paced their respective squads at the EMU Fall XC Classic this past weekend.

With only a partial squad competing, Bornhorst and Brenner led squads of mostly underclassmen in the Open event while the remainder of the team prepared for the MAC Championships this Saturday. This is now the fourth week in which a Rocket has earned the award, and the second time this season that Toledo has swept the honors. Along with Ari Fisher (three-time honoree) and Jonathan DeWitt, Toledo now has four runners that have been recognized by the conference as Runner of the Week.
