MEET RESULTS (.htm)

Senior Autumn Dettmann finished in the top half of the field and came within a second of setting a personal best time in her final race as a Falcon as the Bowling Green State University women's cross country team finished 19th at the 2010 NCAA Division I Great Lakes Regional.

In the 6K race held at the Katke-Cousins Golf Course in Rochester, Mich., Dettmann led all Falcons with a time of 22:29.63.  She earned her personal best time of 22:28.7 in the Mid-American Conference Championships two weeks ago.  Her time earned an 87th place finish out of a 231-runner field.

Sophomore Abby Koch also placed in the top 100, securing a time of 22:34.98.  Koch was followed by senior Barbara Powers.  Powers crossed the finish in 22:51.93.

Bowling Green's team included three other runners, each of whom placed in the top 150 of the race.  They were also all seniors in their final race with the team.

Megan Kelsey finished the 6K in 23:04.33, while Tara Weiss (23:08.81) was fewer than five seconds behind her.  Heather Conger concluded her Falcon career with a time of 23:29.60.

The Falcons' 19th place finish eclipsed that of MAC foe Kent State, who placed 24th.  Bowling Green finished just behind Akron and Eastern Michigan in the final standings.

Toledo (130 points) was the MAC's top performing team, placing third.  Miami and Central Michigan also placed in the top ten of the field.

Regional host Oakland finished 14th.

Michigan State and Michigan each earned automatic berths in the NCAA Championship meet.  The top four individuals on teams who do not receive berths into the championship meet will receive at-large individual invitations.

At this time, the MAC would send two individuals (Ari Fisher, Toledo; Rachel Patterson, Miami) to the championship meet.  Each finished among the top five individuals in today's race.

Overall, the top 25 individuals are named All-Region.
