Brajdic to be a Buckeye

Michael Brajdic of Bay High School has committed to continue his education and running career at the Ohio State University.  Brajdic has the top cross country time in Ohio, and ninth fastest in the nation, this season after running 14:54.89 for a 5K at the Tiffin Carnival.  At the OHSAA State Championships, Brajdic took down the Scioto Downs course record, which has stood since 1987, held by none other than Olympian Bob Kennedy.  Kennedy ran 15:03.2 and Brajdic won the Division 2 race with a time of 15:01.9.  Brajdic also won the OHSAA State Championship Division 2 title during the 2009 Cross Country Season.

 

On the rubber oval, Brajdic finished 2nd in the 3200m run at the 2010 OHSAA State Championships by posting a PR time of 9:08.41.  In the 1600m run, Brajdic owns a PR of 4:22.40.  Brajdic also qualified for the Nike Cross Nationals as an individual in 2009 by placing 7th with a time of 15:30.  At the Nike Cross Nationals meet in Portland, Oregon, Brajdic placed 27th with a time of 15:43.
