NIKE INDOOR NATIONALS WAS JUST THE BEGINNING
Brice Fuller is first in Ohio in the 1600 as a sophomore, Bradlee Keehn is second in the 800 in his final season and Andrew Hearn ran 4:14 at state last spring.
In March, Fairless sent a number of distance runners to Nike Indoor Nationals. Brice Fuller took 22nd place in the two mile in 9:03.65. Andrew Hearn clocked a 4:18.80 mile for 38th. Bradlee Keehn ran the 800. It's looking like that trip to nationals was only just the warmup.
Fuller is a sophomore, but currently ranks first in Ohio in the 1600 at 4:14.13, a PR he split at the ASICS Carolina Distance Carnival last weekend en route to his mile PR of 4:15.70. While in North Carolina, he also turned in a 3200 PR of 8:56.36. Fuller won the OATCCC D3 Indoor State Meet in the 3200 at 9:18.11, and last fall he ran a 5K PR of 14:49.06 for 5th at NXR Midwest Regional Championships then finished 22nd at Nike Cross Nationals.
Hearn ran 4:14.30 at the OHSAA Division 2 State Championships in the 1600 last June, finishing 9th in Ohio as a junior. Fuller's current PR is 4:14.13. Hearn, who is committed to Walsh University, finished 6th at OHSAA Division 3 State XC last fall at 15:30.97. His outdoor 1600 this spring currently stands at 4:17.03 from a win at the Stingel Invite on Apr 11.
Keehn is running the best times of his career when it matters most. He went 1:57.78 at the OHSAA Division 2 State Championships in the 800 last June for tenth place. This spring he has run 1:54.06 at the ASICS Carolina Distance Carnival. He also ran a mile PR of 4:17.45 at that meet. He is currently 2nd in Ohio in the 800 and 3rd in the 1600 and 5th in the mile.
Beyond those three, the roster has athletes competing across the board. Bo Scheetz (2027) is 22nd in Ohio in the discus at 167-11 and also competes in the shot put, having gone 48-10 so far this season. Ontrell Hunter (2027) is 27th in the state in the high jump at 6-5. Laura Seward (2027) is 84th in Ohio in the 300 hurdles at 48.19 and 141st in the 100 hurdles at 16.69. Ashton Vincent (2029) is 59th in the state in the 3200 at 11:43.84 and also runs the 1600. Zachary Gilkerson (2026) is 146th in the 110 hurdles at 15.82. Adelyn Peterson (2028) is 157th in the 400 at 1:01.75. Nolan Kutz (2028) has run a 3200 of 10:10.39.
