Ali Tolich, a senior from Austintown-Fitch High School, has decided to continue her education and track and field career at the Ashland University under the tutelage of four time Olympian Jud Logan. Tolich is the defending division 1 champion in all throwing events, the indoor shot put, the outdoor shot put, the weight throw and the discus.
Tolich currently leads the state in the 20lbs. Weight Throw with a personal record toss of 52-4 at the Kent State HS Open #1 on January 23rd. Tolich's best throw in the discus of 160-2 is the top returning mark in Ohio and the third best returning throw in the nation. Tolich also has the third best returning throw in the shot put (outdoors) with a heave of 44-6.75.
