This Week's Nominees:
Hunter Spangler, Liberty Center (Ohio): Swept both throwing events at the Tri Meet - Bryan/Wauseon/LC, posting a 64-11 shot put to win by a large margin in a field of 39 competitors. Also placed second in the discus with a throw of 165-2 among 42 athletes.
Jackson werling, Allen East (Ohio): The #1 sophomore in the discus threw 187-1 to win at the Riverdale HS Tri, leading a field of 20 athletes. Also won the shot put with a mark of 46-11.5, ranking #29 among Ohio sophomores in that event.
Ethan Ireland, Centerville (Ohio): Cleared 16-8 in the pole vault to place second at the Wayne Invitational in a competitive field of 41 vaulters.
Barack James, Oregon Clay (Ohio): Clocked 13.79 in the 110m hurdles to win at the Saline Golden Triangle, making him the top sophomore hurdler in Ohio among 680 competitors this season.
Kade Schweikhardt, Bethel (Ohio): Ran 1:52.41 to win the 800 meters at the Wayne Invitational, outpacing a large field of 98 runners in the two-lap race.
