Cross Country Team To Compete At Ohio Men's Distance Open

Several members of the Bowling Green State University men's cross country team will travel to Athens, Ohio on Saturday for the 2011 Ohio Men's Distance Open.  

This will act as one of the several track and field meets in which the cross country team is permitted to compete every season. 

Jason Salyer, Greg Black, Jesse Smuda, Ryan Harrison, Joe van Bolderen and Perry Fraylick will each compete in the 5000 meter (5K) run. 

In the 1500 meter event, Peter Miles and Luke Zerkle will represent the Falcons.

Miles will also run in the 800 meters, the shortest event of the day for the men.  Kyle Grassel, Ian Zimmerman and Luke Zerkle will also compete. 

Rounding out the day for Bowling Green will be Josh Franek, who will race the 3000 meter steeplechase.

Complete results will be posted on Saturday evening following the conclusion of the meet.
