The 10th annual Criss & Rita Somerlot Field Event Classic will be held on Tuesday April 24, 2012 at Centerville High School
This, one of a kind boys field event meet, has had some memorable performances over the past 9 years.
There has been a who’s who of high school boy’s track and field with a total of 21 state champions
competing in what has become one of the best midweek showcase of multi-divisional talent in Ohio. It is one of
a few places where a DIII athlete can measure himself against the DI & DII athletes in a non-teamed scored
meet (as last year’s Division 2 shot put champion Dylan Dyke of Waverly did last year.) It is also a great place to
earn a USATF Junior Nationals qualifying mark for this year’s meet in Bloomington, IN.
This year, to celebrate the 10 years of the meet, we have returned to one of the best first place awards we have
ever given - a USA Track & Field Olympic Uniform signed by a US athlete. The following is a list of what signed jersey the event champion will take home.

All jerseys will be framed and will be a great keepsake for winning your event at this prestigous meet.

Meet entry is $5 per athlete or a team fee of $75.00. Every athlete (and coach) will receive a meet
t-shirt and awards are given out for 1st-8th place finishers. There will be a registered official at each event and all
results will be posted on https://oh.milesplit.com. If you are a state level athlete or someone who is just starting out,
this meet is something that you do not want to miss in 2012! You can pre-register by email or fax (937-
439-3518) or come to the Centerville Stadium Tuesday 4/24/12 and sign up meet day- please have your
entry fee with you if you have not sent it in prior to meet day.
