Registration is filling quickly for the 2014 All-Metro High School Cross Country Awards Banquet. Don’t miss out on this year’s event! On December 3, 2014 at the College Football Hall of Fame, Atlanta Track Club will present the 42 deserving scholastic student-athletes, 21 boys and 21 girls, to be named to the First, Second or Third All-Metro Cross Country Teams.  Each of the All-Metro athletes will be recognized for their extraordinary seasons at the All-Metro Banquet and First Team All-Metro honorees will receive a $500 scholarship from Atlanta Track Club. Also honored that evening will be the All-Metro Women’s and Men’s coaches whose teams won State Championship titles, and four individual awards for Outstanding Male/Female State Cross-Country Athlete and Outstanding Dedication Award for the Male/Female Cross-Country Coach. This year’s banquet will feature an inspiring keynote speaker, the fastest marathoner in U.S. History, Ryan Hall. Hall will speak to the young athletes about his experiences running in high school, college and at the Olympics.

Atlanta Track Club Voting to Name 42 Athletes to All-Metro Team is Open Press Release Nov 14, 2014

 

Atlanta Track Club has selected 42 deserving scholastic student athletes, 21 boys and 21 girls, to be named to the First, Second or Third All-Metro Teams. The 42 honorees were chosen based on an updated, calculated, ranking system and now coaches, parents, media and the general public will vote to determine their place on the three teams.  Only one vote is allowed per person.You will be ranking the list of 42 athletes and determining their placement on the First, Second or Third All-Metro Cross Country Teams.  Coaches' votes will equal 80% of an athlete's total score. Public votes will equal 20% of an athlete's total score. Voting closes 11/17/14 at 11pm(EST) Click on the article header for Athlete Bios and Details.

ATLANTA – November 6, 2014 – This fall, Atlanta Track Club will select 42 deserving scholastic student- athletes, 21 boys and 21 girls, to receive All-Metro Cross Country Teams Honors. The 42 honorees will be chosen based on an updated, calculated, ranking system and then coaches, parents, media and the general public will be given the opportunity to vote for the athletes, determining their placement as 1st Team, 2nd Team or 3rd Team honorees. AUGUSTA, Ga. – Join us on Thursday, May 1st for "Chillin & Grillin on Central", a block party to benefit the new Ronald McDonald House Charities of Augusta from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the corner of Central Avenue and Kings Way. Chef David Ross and GRU Augusta Director of Athletics Clint Bryant will have all types of barbeque, grilled food, and drinks at the event.
