PICKERINGTON -- Bob Kennedy set Ohio Capital Conference and state records 24 years ago, well before Brannon Kidder was born. The Lancaster senior certainly is aware of who Kennedy is, however. In Saturday's OCC-Ohio Division meet at Pickerington North, the Penn State-bound Kidder broke one of the legendary Westerville North runner's marks, and he is taking aim on another. Despite starting the second lap of the 800 in third place, he ran past Pickerington North's Spencer Bentley and teammate Stephen Sparks on the backstretch and finished in 1:51.59 -- eclipsing Kennedy's OCC record of 1:53.2 set in 1988. Bentley also broke the mark with his second-place 1:53.03.(via Lancastereaglegazzette.com )
