Midwest Meet of Champions

Welcome to the 2017 Midwest Meet of Champions Cross Country Invitational. All teams interested in competing may contact meet management for entry. Updated meet information has been posted at, oh. and Please note for 2017 the meet will be held at the Hilliard Darby Cross Country course because of construction on the Hilliard Bradley course.


The course is located at Hilliard Darby High School. It is a two loop, spectator friendly course on grass at the North Athletic Fields.. The course will cross the Heritage Rail Trail bike path 4 times. The course will be lined with two white lines. All miles will be well marked.

All entries are due to by 6:00 PM on Tuesday, September 26, 2017. (Please see entry information.) Each team can enter seven runners in the John Hammond Race of Champions and unlimited runners in the open, 9/10th grade and Middle School team races.

11:30 AM Girls John Hammond Race of Champions (7 runners per team)*
12:00 PM Boys Open Race (unlimited runners)
12:30 PM Girls Open Race (unlimited runners)
1:00 PM Awards Ceremony

*No JV teams will be permitted to run in the ROC races. No Exceptions*

Drop-Off / Pick-up:

Buses may drop off in the lot near the tennis courts at Hilliard Darby High School north of the stadium. Parking attendants will direct bus traffic to the middle school parking lots. No buses should enter the Westin Trail neighborhood. Spectators need to park in the main lot near the stadium.

Race Day Packet:

Race day packets may be picked up at the finish line. All meet information, chips and results can be found at the trailer/tent nearest the finish line.

Start line / Finish line:

Please arrive at the start line a minimum of fifteen minutes before each race begins, so that OHSAA officials may check in each team. There will be no finish cards in the finishing corral. Coaches and spectators should not be in the finish corral. Both the start and finish lines should be cleared of spectators. Spectators may stand behind the barriers, but they are not permitted on the lines. Please coaches only!


Awards will be given to the top-ten finishers in each race. Team trophies will be presented to the top-five teams in the ROC and top two teams in all other races. Awards will be presented at the awards ceremony, with exception to middle school races. Middle school teams can pick up awards at the announcer's table once they have been made official over the PA system.

Out of State Teams:

All out of state teams must be within 300 miles distance of Hilliard Darby High School for sanctioning. Address: 4200 Leppert Road, Hilliard, OH 43026.


The MMOC uses the timing triad of IPICO Chip timing with Finishlynx and Identilynx cameras. Please follow our timing instructions the day of the meet. Each runner will be assigned a competitor number, a race bib to be pinned on the front of their jersey and IPICO shoe tag. All items are to be worn only by the competitor assigned. If on the race day you are missing a runners bib please do not write in or scratch out names. Please come to the coring area located at the finish line to make a change. Please enter all anticipated runners when you enter online.

IPICO Shoe Tags (Chips):

All IPICO Shoe Tags must be returned in the finish corrals. THEY ARE NOT DISPOSABLE!!! Unused chips need to be returned to the finish line area. All unreturned chips will result in your Athletic Department being charged.

Awards Ceremony:

At 1:00 PM there will be an awards ceremony held near the finish line. The ceremony will be for all place winners in each individual race and the top 5 teams in the ROC. No awards will be passed out in the chute. The Midwest Meet of Champions would like to honor the athletes that earned awards and do them justice for their accomplishments. Please have those athletes that receive awards dressed in their team wear / warm-ups for the presentation and pictures.

Team Camps:

Team camps are permitted on the practice football and surrounding fields on the north fields. Please make sure that camps do not interfere with the course and that sites are cleaned up when you leave. Camps should not be made around the start and finish lines.

Spectator Admission, Parking, Concessions / Restrooms:

Spectator admission will be charged for the general public. Please inform your fans that adults will be charged $7.00 and students/kids $5.00.

Spectator parking will be located in stadium parking lot of the Hilliard Darby Athletic Complex.

Concessions will be located at the Wilcox Garage facility on the North Athletic Fields..

Restrooms are available at the Hilliard Darby Athletic Complex, and Port-a-Potties in the North Athletic Field Parking Lots..


A limited amount of T-shirts will be available with the Midwest Meet of Champions logo. Prices will range from $15.00 to $20.00.
