Entry Information & Deadlines

General Entry Information

2 entries per individual event. 1 relay event per team. Only enter verifiable times and marks for all athletes. Meet management reserves the right to reject unverifiable entry times/marks submitted and change them to No Time or No Mark.

Entry Deadline

Entries are due by Monday, May 9, 2022 at 6:00pm. Please make sure all possible competitors are entered on your MileSplit roster.

Substitutions

Substitutions are due by 12:00noon on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 and Thursday, May 12, 2022. Use the following link to submit substitutions: SUBSTITUTION FORM

General Meet Info

Pole Vault. Pole vault will be contested on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at Independence High School at 4:30pm.

Relays. No relay cards. All relay participants and alternates will be entered in MileSplit.

Games Committee. The Games Committee will consist of 5 individuals to include: the meet referee, meet manager, one girls' head coach and one boys' head coach and one field event coach.

Inclement Weather Plan. The OHSAA Inclement weather policy will be followed. If inclement weather occurs, teams may return to their buses or enter the Lutheran West building as directed by school officials. If Day 1 is suspended and cannot resume, then the meet will continue on Day 2. If any event prelims were not completed, then those event heats and flights will be reseeded and conducted from slow to fast/shortest to furthest with the top 6 best times and marks placing. If Day 2 is suspended and cannot conclude, the meet will continue on a subsequent day as decided by the Games Committee.

Please print and complete the following coach's verification forms & submit to the meet official upon arrival. No rosters need to be exchanged since all entries are completed online. Please make sure all possible athletes are entered on your MileSplit roster.

Implement Weigh-Ins

Weigh-ins will be at the south end of the home stands. Please report 3:00-3:45pm each day of competition.

Scoring & Awards

Individual & Relay Awards: 1st through 7th places will be scored with medals for 1st - 3rd places and ribbons 4th-7th places. Scoring will be 10-8-6-4-3-2-1. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners will be presented their awards at the 50 yard line immediately after the event.

MVP Awards: 2 for each gender as voted on by the participating head coaches. 1 Field Event Competitor and 1 Running Event Competitor.

Team Awards: A trophy will be awarded at the conclusion of the meet at the 50 yard line to the 1st place team for each gender.

Certificate Awards: 1st and 2nd Team and Honorable Mention certificates will be made available from each school's athletic director.

Team Camps

Please use the visitor stands on the east side of the stadium (alongside Linden Road) or the grassy area to the north of the visitor stands for all team camps. Do not set-up team camps in the home stands. Home stands are reserved for spectators only. See Bus & Team Camp Map for details.Bus & Team Camp Map

Athletes

Only competitors warming-up and competing are allowed on the infield and track. All others must be outside of the infield area. No electronic devices or headphones/earbuds are allowed in the competition area. Athletes in violation of this rule will be removed from the competition area immediately and may be subject to ejection from the meet.

Trainer

The LW Athletic Trainer Katelyn Peterson will be on-site at Lutheran West High School. Independence High School will supply an on-site trainer for the pole vault competition day. If an athlete would like to be taped prior to their event, they will be asked to provide their own supplies. Water coolers will be provided, however, athletes are encouraged to bring their own water bottles as cups will NOT be provided. Ice bags will be available for any injuries that occur during the meet.

-Each day requires a separate ticket.

-Spectators are to remainoutside the black fencing and are not allowed within the track/field area.

-Children 6 and under are free. Seniors Citizens are free.

Concessions

A fully stocked concession stand will be open. All proceeds benefit the Lutheran West Track & Field Program.
