Thank you for joining us for the 2023 Chippewa Invitational. This meet will be hosted at Doylestown Memorial Stadium on Saturday, April 8th by Chippewa Local Schools. This informational packet contains all details regarding this years meet. Please read over this information closely and if you have any questions or concerns, please contact:

ITEMS OF IMPORTANCE AND FRIENDLY REMINDERS:

  1. Teams attending: Canfield, Chippewa, Loudonville, Mapleton, Northwest, Norton, Tuslaw, Waynedale

  2. OhioMile Split will be used as the official entry for the Chippewa Invitational. All entries must be submitted between the following times:

    1. Entry window is already open for registration.

    2. Entry window will close Wednesday, April 6 at 12:00 pm.

      1. Please input accurate seed times, preferably FAT times as there are no prelims in the dashes. There will be a heat with slower seed times followed by heat with faster seed times for the hurdles and 100m-400m dashes.

  3. A huge thank you to Northwest Indians Timing who will be providing the FAT system for this event.

    1. Due to congestion and the FAT system at the finish line, all coaches, athletes, and spectators will be required to stay clear of this area.

  4. Team camps will be permitted in Doylestown Memorial Park outside the stadium fence. Please see the stadium map on page five that shows the team camp area.

    1. No tents will be allowed in the bleachers.

  5. Turf access will be limited to athletes competing in high jump, long jump, and pole vault in designated areas ONLY. The turf is not to be used as a warm-up area.

    1. Coaches will have a designated coaching box for these field events.

    2. Spectators are not allowed inside the fence.

    3. All coaches, athletes, and spectators will be required to stay clear of the finish line.

  6. Results will be posted outside the locker room and/or the concession stand.

  7. Track spikes of or less can be worn. No spikes should be worn on the turf.

  8. Schools will provide their own batons and markers for all relays.

    1. Tennis balls and tongue depressors are permitted.

    2. Please do not mark the track with tape, chalk, or stones.

    3. Chalk may be used to mark steps for high jump, long jump, and pole vault. Pencils, plastic silverware, bottlecaps, tape, etc. are not permitted on the runways or in the turf.

  9. Throwing implements will be weighed prior to competition. Listen for the location at the meet.

  10. Starting heights will be determined once heights are turned in and communicated at the coaches meeting. A bar or bungee cord will be used during warm ups.

  11. All uniform rules will be enforced.

  12. All track and field venues will require paid entry for spectators.

    1. Adults: $6.00

    2. Students: $4.00

  13. Long sleeve T-shirts will be available for purchase for $20 during the meet until they are sold out.

  14. Concessions will be available for purchase by athletes and spectators.

  15. Hospitality food, snacks, and beverages will be provided for coaches and officials in the official's locker room in the fieldhouse thanks to our Track and Field parents and the Chippewa Booster Club.

SCORING

Events will be scored:10 - 8 - 6 - 5 - 4 - 3 - 2 - 1

Awards will be given to the top six individuals in each event as well as the winning boys and girls teams.

PARKING INFO + STADIUM MAPS

PLEASE NOTE: Parking is extremely limited at Doylestown Memorial Stadium due to the location of our throwing field events.

  • Additional parking is available at Hazel Harvey Elementary school where spectators can walk to the stadium. 

    • 165 Brooklyn Ave, Doylestown, OH 44230

  • Additional parking is also available at the old middle school site where a shuttle bus will be available to take spectators to and from the track.

    • 257 High St, Doylestown, OH 44230

  • Please see the maps below for available parking and shuttle bus access.

  • Parking will be available in the discus throwing area AFTER the conclusion of the girls discus.

  • Please share this information with parents and spectators.

  • Additional parking at Hazel Harvey Elementary School: 165 Brooklyn Ave, Doylestown, OH 44230.

    • Spectators will walk from Hazel Harvey to the track.

  • Additional parking at the old middle school site: 257 High St, Doylestown, OH 44230
