The cross country season began resoundingly, as Toledo's women's team recorded a perfect score in defeating rival Bowling Green 15-40 Friday night at the Ottawa Park Golf Course. The men's team also recorded a decisive 19-40 victory to start the 2009 season. Making the women's triumph all the more impressive was the fact that head coach Kevin Hadsell rested his entire junior and senior classes to prepare on training for the rest of the season. The Rockets, led by sophomore Ari Fisher (Lebanon, OH), still swept the top-five spots in the scoring.
