The coaches meeting will begin at 4:00pm.
The field events will begin at 4:30pm The shot and discus pads are concrete. The long jump and high jump are all-weather surfaces requiring spikes.
Our track surface requires pyramid spikes of or less. No pin spikes are permitted. Please make sure that these requirements are followed. Athletes are to use the gates or walk-throughs to enter the track area.
We would ask that teams stay in the EAST bleachers or in the area around them.
The running events will begin at 5:00pm. See full schedule below.
The scoring will be 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1. There will be ribbons for the top eight places. Trophies will be awarded to the two top teams. Tie breaker procedure will be: 1. High Places 2. Best two marks in one event 3. Games Committee
Gate prices will be: ADULT - $8.00STUDENT - $5.00
Coaches, Athletes, and Statisticians will enter the track facility on their bus through the EAST GATE. Anyone not riding the bus to the event must purchase a ticket to enter the event. The Discus and Shot Put areas are outside the track facility and will require getting stamped at the ticket booth as you leave the facility so that you can re-enter.
Western Reserve will supply batons for all relay races and a supply of tongue depressors for use as markers on runways and the track. We will also supply regular starting blocks. If you are using Moyle blocks, you will need to bring them.
We have 1 shot and 1 disc area. Boys throwing area is west of the parking lot next to the playground. Girls throwing area is Northwest of the stadium. There will be 2 High Jump pads utilized. Girls will jump on the red pad. Boys will jump on the Blue pad. Both the boys and girls will jump at the same time.
Girls will be first to long jump followed by the boys. Each jumper will receive 4 jumps. One (1) jump only in the final 15 minutes. The coaches will determine at the coaches meeting the length of time that they would like the long jump to be open for the girls and then for the boys.
