Entries: A school may enter a maximum of seven runners in each assigned race. A school may also bring up to two alternates. The alternates must ride the bus with the team.

Entry Deadline: Entries will open on September 30, and must be submitted no later than Monday, October 14th by 8:00 pm EDT.

Late Entries: Entries not submitted before the deadline are subject to an OHSAA imposed $50 late entry penalty per team if approved by the OHSAA. Late entries are not guaranteed.Tournament Regulations: Please review cross country tournament regulations

Uniform Regulations: Coaches are responsible for ensuring each athlete wears a legal uniform.

Substitutions: After the entry deadline, substitutions may be made using the online substitution form until Noon on Friday, October 18. After that time a paper substitution form, which will be provided in your packet, will need to be filled out on site and returned to the timing area near the finish line at least 30 minutes before the scheduled start of the race. Note that you will only be able to substitute for an existing runner that you originally submitted. For example, if you submit five runners and then decide to add a sixth runner, you will not be able to do so as this is considered an addition instead of a substitution.

Course Inspection:  Course will be open for inspection on Friday, October 18, 2024 after 5pm. 

Arrival Time: Please do not arrive more than ONE HOUR 30 MINUTES before your scheduled divisions race.

Registration/Team Check In:  Busses will drop off at the back of the track facility. Packet pick-up is near the finish line with the timing staff.

Pass List: Each team will receive up to 11 passes. Passes are for 7 runners, 2 alternates and 2 coaches. Other runners on the team not entered in a district race as a participating athlete or alternate must purchase a ticket before being admitted into the meet.  

Bibs: Bibs for all registered athletes will be provided in your team packets. Any bibs that must be replaced after packet pickup will be subject to a $20 bib replacement fee.

Tickets: An electronic ticket is required to enter the district meet. Admission tickets are $8.00 for general admission and $5.00 for students. Tickets are available via the OHSAAs Hometown ticketing website https://ohsaa.org/tickets  Electronic ticket holders are encouraged to bring PRINTED versions of their tickets instead of relying on the electronic version of their tickets to gain entry.  Children under 5 are not required to pay admission. Cash will be accepted at the gate.

10:00 am - Div. III Boys (one race)  

10:45 am - Div. III Girls (one race)  

11:30 am - Div. III Awards 

11:30 am - Div. II Boys (one race)

12:15 pm - Div. II Girls (one race)

1:00 pm - Div. II Awards



Prohibited Items

  • Other than those approved by the meet manager for meet management purposes, no motorized or non-motorized vehicles (including scooters and bicycles) are permitted on the course at any time.  

  • Frisbees, footballs and other athletic items are also not allowed at the competition venue.

  • The use of drones by teams or spectators is prohibited.

  • The use of air horns, bull horns (or other voice amplification devices), whistles, or other means to communicate pace or instructions to athletes by teams or spectators is prohibited as a violation of NFHS rule 4-6-5d.

Tents: Team camps can only be set up at the venue in the designated area in the track facility. 

Weather: If lightning or other dangerous weather is experienced, we will follow the OHSAA guidelines.  The referee will coordinate the response effort with the meet manager. Evacuation is to team buses and/or high school as time and space permit.

Athletic Trainer: A certified athletic trainer will be available at the finish line area.

Awards: The OHSAA provides awards for the 1st and 2nd place teams. The OHSAA does not provide individual awards.

School Representative: No team or individual will be allowed to compete in the District Tournament unless a coach or person authorized by the Board of Education is present throughout the Tournament. Team and individual entries unaccompanied by such a school representative may be disqualified, pending a ruling by the OHSAA Executive Director.
