Massillon Junior High Tiger Invitational 2025

Athletic Directors and Coaches,

Thank you for joining Massillon Junior High on Thursday April 17th for the Massillon Junior High Tiger Invitational. We are excited to have you.   

Please use the following notes to help us run the smoothest invitational possible:

1. Entry Fee:  

1. $350 for both.  

2. Please Register using MileSplit Ohio

1. Entry Window Closes:  4-15-2025, 7:00PM.

2. If you did not receive an invite on Milesplit please let me know which team to send the invite too

1. There will be a brief coaches meeting prior to the beginning of the meet.

2. Field Events will begin at 4:30pm.  

1. There will be three attempts in the pole vault and long jump.  

2. There will be four attempts in shot and disc, two and two throw format.  

3. The shot and discus are thrown from concrete pads.

4. The HJ, LJ, and Pole Vault are on all weather surfaces. 

5. Long Jump for Boys and Girls will be open pits.  

1. Running events will begin at approximately 5:30

2. Scoring - 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1

1. Overall - Boys and Girls 

1. 1st - Trophy

2. 2nd - Plaque 

2. Individual Awards 

1. 1st - 3rd Place - Gold - Silver - Bronze Medals

2. 4th - 8th Place - Medals

5. Construction Update

Massillon City Schools is currently building a new elementary school on the Massillon Junior High campus.  Please be advised that the number of parking spots has decreased significantly.  I have included a map of the MJHS campus and available parking spots.  In addition cars can park on both sides of the bus lane in front of the building. 

1. A Concession Stand will be available.  

1. Coaches Meal Vouchers - Each Coach will receive a meal voucher to use at our concession stand.  

2. The meet management reserves the right to make changes as necessary.

Team Camps

Weather permitting, we are going to keep all athletes off the football field/infield.  We will be using this as staging areas and awards area.  Teams can set up camps anywhere inside the complex.  We have plenty of space for tents, chairs , blankets and whatever else you may bring.  

The Massillon Tigers Athletic Department would like to thank you for competing in the 2023 MJHS Tiger Invitational.  Good luck to all the athletes.
