Unioto Cross Country Invitational 2025

Interested teams: Please request a contract be sent on DragonFly from mcombs@gotanks.org. We will open to as many teams as possible, but please request a contract.

Course: We will open up the course a bit with 2 creek crossings and a grassy woods section. This area is very scenic, flat and will have good footing. We will have the crossings and course smoothed out and very runnable for this year. This will allow a more straightforward 2 lap course for varsity with modified 1 lap for MS. This will also allow more traffic on course without any pinch points so we can go back to one race and see some very fast times. It is Flat and Fast around our athletic complex. I use a road roller to help make it smooth..Course map will be posted on baumspage.com before the meet. The main course has been used for the last 10 years, so it is fairly smooth. I mow the grass down quite a bit as well. We have added a new loop at the elementary with long straights and woods this year to alleviate pinch points and make the course even faster and less congested. The majority course can be viewed from the football stadium at the top of the bleachers. finish will be inside the stadium with a running scoreboard with the race time.

Entry Fee: $150 maximum per school ....$50 per team....$10 per individual. Must be paid in advance. Make checks payable to: Unioto H.S. Athletic Department

Rosters: You will need to submit your rosters online to oh.milesplit.com by Closes on Friday 10/3/25 at 10 AM

Spectators: $5 for spectators. All spectators must park in the lots by the high school and middle school then use the tunnel to the athletic facility.

THIS WILL BE AN EVENING/NIGHT RACE. We will have different divisions based on team averages in the high school divisions. If you wish to race the faster division reach out to me individually. The tentative race schedule looks like this:

Elementary Fun Run- 5:30

Senior Recognition - 6:00

Old Man-Woman Race 6:30p

MS Girls -7:30p

MS Boys 8:15p

HS Girls GOLD - 9:00p

HS Boys GOLD- 9:45p

Depending on Entries, We might have to add a Race so please get your entries in there as soon as possible.

This is our Second night race as we look to offer one in our area. I am working through all snags and with some tight spots in our course I am looking to limit the amount of athletes on the course by making multiple divisions.

Awards:

We will be passing out the top 10 individuals and the top 2 team trophies at the track as soon after each race as possible. All other awards will be placed into your packets. Please pick up All results will be posted on ohiomilesplit

Jr. High - two team trophies, 1-25 medals, 26-40 ribbons

High School - two team trophies, 1-25 medals, 26-40 ribbons.

Timing will be by TRISTATE RACER.

T-Shirts: we will be selling T-shirts and Sweatshirts at the event.

Concessions: we will have a stocked concession stand

Parking: Bus parking lot is at the Elementary school. This gate will be for ONLY athletes and coaches. You must have a pass or a team uniform to enter through this gate. All spectators are to park in the high school and junior high parking lots and walk through the tunnel to the complex.
