2025 McClain High School The Opener Cross Country Meet
Saturday, August 23, 2025
The Opener hosted by McClain High School and Greenfield Middle School will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at Mitchell Park in Greenfield, Ohio.
Teams: Will be updated as contracts are sent back on Dragonfly.
Entries: Will be done on OH.Milesplit. The Entry Deadline is Thursday, August 21st by 10 pm.
Entry fees: $150 (Junior High and High School Combined)
Payment should be remitted by August 23, 2025

Coaches Meeting at 9:00 at the purple tents/ finish line.
Start Time is 9:30 am
High School Girls at 9:30
High School Boys at 10:15
Middle School Girls at 11:00
Middle School Boys at 11:30
Awards
Individuals: 1st Place will receive a plaque.
2nd through 5th place will receive medals.
6th -20th places will receive ribbons.

Spectators: A carload charge of $7.00 will be applied for entry to Mitchell Park.
Location: Mitchell Park, State Rt. 753 South (Home site of McClain Baseball and Softball.)
Directions: Going State Rt. 28 West, turn left onto State Rt. 753 (7th Street), and go approximately mile, turning left into Mitchell Park.
Directions: Going State Rt. 28 East, turn right onto State Rt. 753 (7th Street), and go approximately mile, turning left into Mitchell Park.
Directions: Going State Rt. 138 East, turn right as you enter Greenfield at State Rt. 753 (7th Street), and go approximately 3/4 mile, turning left into Mitchell Park.
Buses can drop off kids between the park pavilion and skateboard/tennis court. Bus parking will be at the varsity outfield baseball field parking lot.
Course Description: This course is primarily flat, with a few small slopes and one area that will drop off. The course goes the length of the park and provides runners with good times, due to its layout.
Course Map: Middle School Course is in White. High School Course is in purple.
Each team can enter unlimited runners.
Please submit your team rosters to Baumspage , by 10:00 pm on Thursday, August 21st
Scoring will be done using South Central Ohio Timing.
