MEET INFORMATION
PLEASE NOTE CHANGE OF DATE AND CHANGE OF TIME SCHEDULE
THE JESSE OWENS HIGH SCHOOL TRACK CLASSIC WILL BE HELD SUNDAY, MAY 9TH 2010
ENTRY FEE: $150 fee per team for 10+ entries (limit 2 entries per event) Due on day of meet!
$15 entry fee per individual event
$25 entry fee per relay event
Entries will be through www.finishtiming.com ONLY and will be open until Wednesday May 5th @ 7pm---NO EXCEPTIONS!

Information you will need for the meet is as follows:
All athletes are required to check-in with the Clerks at least two events prior to their scheduled event or disqualification may result. The Clerks have been instructed to not allow late arriving athletes into their event. It is especially important that all members of relay teams check in together at the appropriate time.
NO EXCEPTIONS!
EVENT CHECK-IN:
Running Events: Initial check-in must occur two events prior to scheduled event.
Event check-in area will be located at the South East corner of the Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium
Field Events
Check-in time will be 90 minutes prior to competition
Warm-up will be allowed 60 minutes prior to competition 15 minutes prior to event only first flight competitors.
There will be 10 min warm-up between flights
ADMISSION: $5 per adult, children under 12 free
AWARDS: Team scored with top three teams earning special meet trophies, Medal awards to top 3 finishers in each event.

ATHLETE ENTRANCE: Athlete drop-off area and entrance will be in the Northeast gate. Bus parking will be in the northwest parking lot across the street from the stadium. Meet packets will be available in the brick building at the northeast corner of the track at 10:30am. Bib numbers must be worn by all competitors. There will be no coaches meeting before the meet
GENERAL INFORMATION:
Long Jump will be girls and boys at same time. Prelims will start at 12:00pm.
Athletes will be allowed 3 jumps, immediately followed by the 3 jump finals for top 9.
Pole Vault- Only coaches with a field pass will be allowed in the pole vault area. These can be found in your team packet.
Girls will be competing first, followed by boys. Starting heights will be as follows: Girls- 7 0 Boys-116
Spikes: inch
High jump- Only coaches with a field pass will be allowed in the high jump area. These can be found in your team packet
Girls will be competing first followed by boys. Starting heights: Boys-54 Girls-44
Shot put- will be girls followed by the boys
Discus will be boys followed by the girls.
Throwing-- implements will be weighed in at the throwing area, located across the street northwest of the track.
Prelims will be 3 throws and immediately followed by three throws in the finals for the top 9 athletes
Team scoring will be as follows: 10 8 6 5 4 3 2 1
Individual awards will be available for pick-up in the Press Box after the conclusion of each event.
There will be an awards presentation for the top three teams at the conclusion of the meet
Special 25th anniversary edition Jesse Owens T-shirts will be on sale for $10
Electronics will NOT be permitted anywhere on the track or in the field event areas
