Kaitlyn Gillespie Kelly Tuckwiller for MSNsportsNET.com January 16, 2011 11:51 AM MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Redshirt freshman Kaitlyn Gillespie captured first-place in the 1,000-meter race on Saturday as the West Virginia University track and field team posted an excellent finish at the Doug Raymond Invitational, hosted by Kent State. Gillespie took the top spot with a BIG EAST qualifying time of 2:54.16. The Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, native also race well in the 800-meter event, finishing in fourth with a time of 2:16.43.
