Midwest Meet of Champions Coaches Information Letter

Welcome to the 2011 Midwest Meet of Champions Cross Country meet. Hilliard Bradley will continue to host the MMOC for all teams that may be interested. New in 2011 the MMOC will have multiple divisions open for any and all teams interested. The meet will also be moving to Hilliard Bradley High School. All meet information can be found at www.bradleytrack.org.
Course:
New for the 2011 season the course has moved to the Hilliard Bradley High School athletic facility. The course is set up on two loops through our athletic fields, including a woods crossing and several scenic irrigation channels. The entire course is on grass with excellent footing.
Markings on the course will be a double solid white line. The course will be set up on Thursday night and ready for course inspections on Friday.
Please remember that school will be in session that day and parking will be at a minimum until 3:00 PM after the parking lot is clear. Parking for course inspection is available in the lot behind the school.
Entries / Results:
All entries are due to www.baumspage.com by 7:00 PM on Wednesday, September 28, 2011. Each team can enter seven runners in the varsity races and unlimited runners in the Open and 9/10th grade team races. Meet results will be posted on www.baumspage.com and www.milesplit.com later that night or you can pick them up before you leave. Results will also be posted for the general public near the concession stands.

Drop-Off / Pick-up:
Busses may drop off and park in the lot behind Hilliard Bradley High School between the stadium and the lagoon. Parking attendants will direct traffic. Spectators need to park in the main lot.
Race Day Packet:
Race day packets may be picked up at the finish line. All meet information, chips and results can be found at the tent nearest the finish line.
Start line / Finish line:
Please arrive at the start line a minimum of fifteen minutes before each race begins, so that OHSAA officials may check in each team. There will be no finish cards in the finish chutes. Both the start and finish lines should be cleared of spectators. Spectators may stand behind the barriers, but they are not permitted on the lines. Please coaches only!
Awards:
Awards will be given to the top-ten finishers in each race. Team trophies will be presented to the top-five teams in the ROC and top two teams in all other races. Awards will be presented at the awards ceremony. Results will be posted near the concession stand in front of the garage.
Out of State Teams:
All out of state teams must be within 300 miles distance of Hilliard Bradley High School for sanctioning. Address: 2800 Walker Road, Hilliard, OH

Entry Fees:
$225.00 Boys and Girls Teams
$175.00 Single Team
One fee enters competitors in each race.
Scoring:
The MMOC uses the timing Triad of IPICO Chip timing, with Finishlynx and Identilynx cameras. Please follow our timing instructions the day of the meet. However, each runner will be assigned a competitor number, a race bib to be pinned on the front of their jersey and IPICO shoe tag. All items are to be worn only by the competitor it is assigned. If on the race day you are missing a runners bib please do not write in or scratch out names. Please come to the scoring area located at the finish line to make a change. However, please make sure that you enter all anticipated runners when you enter your team. No race day additions will be allowed if the athletes name is not in the database.
Awards Ceremony:
At 2:00 PM there will be an awards ceremony held at the stage near the finish line. The ceremony will be for all place winners in each individual race and the top 5 teams in the ROC. No awards will be passed out in the chute. The Midwest Meet of Champions would like to honor the athletes that earned awards and do them justice for their accomplishments. Please have those athletes that receive awards dressed in their team wear / warm-ups for the presentation and pictures.
Milesplit Coverage:
The 2011 Midwest Meet of Champions will be showcased on www.milesplit.com. The meet information is currently up under the calendar link, with more information to be added as the meet gets closer. Pre-meet analysis, meet results, pictures, video, and race commentary will all be provided on www.milesplit.com.
Team Camps:
Team camps are permitted on the practice football fields inside the stadium. Please make sure that camps do not interfere with the course and that sites are cleaned up when you leave. Camps should not be made around the start or finish lines.
Spectator Admission, Parking, Concessions / Restrooms:
Spectator admission will be charged for the general public. Please inform your fans that adults will be charged $6.00 and students/kids $3.00.
Spectator parking will be located at the Hilliard Bradley Athletic Complex at 2800 Walker Rd., Hilliard, OH 43026
Concessions will be located inside the football stadium.
Restrooms are available at the Hilliard Bradley Athletic Complex, and limited Port-a-Potties at various locations on the course.
T-Shirts:
A limited amount of T-shirts will be available with the Midwest Meet of Champions logo. Prices will range from $15.00 to $20.00.
