Miami Invitational 2011

Hosting the first of two home meets this year, the Miami University women's track and field team saw a bit of everything Saturday at the Miami Invitational at George Rider track as two RedHawks won events, including one breaking a school record, while weather delayed the meet for several hours.

The Grand Valley State men's track and field team competed at the Miami (OH) Invitational Saturday (April 9) evening in Oxford, Ohio. GVSU recorded a team score of 51 points to earn a sixth place finish. The Lakers will travel to Walnut, Calif., on April 14 to compete at the Mt. SAC Relays.

Grand Valley State women's track and field team competed at the Miami (OH) Invitational on Saturday (April 9) evening. The Lakers finished seventh with a team total of 48.5 points, while Liz Murphy set a new school record and automatically qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Championships in the hammer. The Lakers will compete next Thursday (April 14) at the Mt. SAC Relays in Walnut, Calif.
