KIWANIS-TREATY CITY CROSS COUNTRY INVITATIONAL
SEPTEMBER 3, 2011
COURSE: Located in the City Park on Memorial Drive off East Water Street.
ENTRIES: Jr. High - Each school may enter as many boys and girls as they wish.
Varsity Boys & Girls - White Division race followed by Green Division
Race. PLEASE TAKE SPECIAL NOTE OF THE FOLLOWING:
Each school may enter a maximum of 10 runners listed on the State Eligibility sheet. (This has been implemented in order to cut down on the back up of runners in the Reserve races). Only the top 7 runners will score and displace. See enclosed sheet for Division assignments.
Reserve - Each school entered in the varsity meet may enter as many runners as they wish - boys and girls.
SCORING: Scoring will follow Track and Field Rule 9-2 for Cross Country
1. Bring your entry fee if you have not already sent it to us. Fees are as
follows: Varsity Boys $75.00; Varsity Girls $75.00; Reserve $40.00 per team; and Jr. High $40.00 for Girls Team and $40.00 for Boys Team. However, $200.00 is the maximum per school for events, as we encourage participation.
2. The listed time schedule will be followed as closely as possible. Runners will have a maximum of 30 minutes to finish the race.
3. A map of the course will be handed out when you check in.
4. Coaches should instruct their runners to keep moving through the corral and to remove their chip from their shoe.
: Water will be furnished in the holding area at the completion of each race. Coaches and athletes do not have to furnish their own liquids.
: We will be providing medals to finishers 2 thru twenty in each of the varsity races, 1 thru ten in each of the reserve races, and 2 thru twenty in each of the Jr. High races. (We will not be providing ribbons this year)
:The race schedule is as follows:
There will be no formal coaches meeting at the start of the day. Any questions, comments, or concerns can be deferred to the race director ( Ed Porter) at anytime during the day.
8:30- Reserve Girls
9:00- Resrve Boys
9:30- White Division Varsity Girls
10:00- Green Division Varsity Girls
10:30- White Division Varsity Boys
11:00- Green Division Varsity Boys
11:30- Junior High Girls
12:00- Junior High Boys
