Cruz Gomez (Alamo, TX)
PSJA Memorial's Cruz Gomez has been right around 16:00 for 5K all season, but he broke out in a big way last Saturday at the McNeil Invite with his victory and 15:36 PR. The time appears to be a bit deceiving on a day where PRs were dropping like flies, but regardless, the Texas frosh now owns the the fastest 5K by a 9th grader in 2015.
