Tell us how your summer training is going?

My summer training is going very well ! I've done lot of tempo miles and I'm really starting to feel like I'm in great shape!

What are your goals for the upcoming season?

I have 4 main goals: 3 individual and 1 team goal . My individual goals are to break 15 in a 5k, win the state championships individually, and most importantly, I would love to qualify to footlocker nationals because it's been a dream of mine to qualify since freshman year . As far as team goals go, I really want to lead my team to states for the first time in school history. We have a very talented team and if we stay healthy, I think we can do it.

How long have you been running and how did you get started?

I've ran since 8th grade and I got started because my mom made me run . My mom's cousins were the 4 and 5 guy on the 1986 Caldwell Cross country team which won states that year in D3 and was deemed by Milesplit  the best team in America that year, so she made run because she thought I could possibly be good at running since her relatives were talented .

Will you be competing anywhere out of state this season?

I will be competing at the Footlocker regional qualifier in Kenosha, Wisconsin and possibly the Nike regional qualifier in Terre Haute, Indiana .

My favorite course to run is the Eisenhart course not only because it's fast, but the course itself is cool and that meet has great competition .

What meet during the regular season do you put extra emphasize on to compete well at?

This year I will be putting extra emphasis on the Tiffin meet because a lot of the top runners in Ohio will be racing there and I want to make a name for myself and do really well there .

What is your favorite cross country race so far in your high school career?

My favorite cross country race is probably the district meet last year at Watkins Memorial because I felt very strong that race and I love that course and it ended up being my second fastest time ever .

Favorite cross country memory?

My favorite cross country memory is hanging out with my teammates at the cross country camp we go to every year at Denison University. We have a tradition of going down to downtown Granville one night during the week of camp and getting Whitt's frozen custard.  It's a lot of fun and a great team bonding.

When you are not running what is your favorite thing to do?

When I'm not running, I like to hang out with my teammates and play World Cup soccer, basketball, ultimate frisbee, and other things.
