JAVELIN and RACE WALK CLINIC

The Miami Valley Track Club will be hosting a Javelin and Race Walk Clinic on Wednesday, June 13th at Yellow Springs H.S., Yellow Springs, Oh. The clinic is open to anyone, of any age, and will get underway at 6:00 pm with two separate tracts, one for the Javelin and one for the Race Walk. Each topic area will be taught by some of the top athletes and coaches in those two events.
The Javelin segment will be taught by Olympic Trials qualifier Dave Diercks of the Miami Valley Track Club. With a lifetime best of 236 feet (approximately 3/4 th the length of a football field) Dave is one of the top 25 Javelin athletes in the US. He will be assisted by his coach Peter Dierauer.
The Race Walk segment will be taught by Coach Vince Peters of the Miami Valley Track club. Nine different athletes have qualified for the Olympic Trials under Peters' tutelage, five of whom will be competing in this summer's Olympic Trials. Top collegiate All American athletes will be assisting Peters.
Sorry about the late notice, but this was a late developing endeavor. Hopefully many of you will be able to adjust your schedules to attend this clinic.
