MEET INFORMATION
CAPITAL UNIVERSITY HIGH SCHOOL MEET
SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 22
Entry fee is $20 per individual. Maximum for any boys OR girls team is $300. Combined total will not exceed $600. Make
checks payable to CAPITAL UNIVERSITY TRACK AND FIELD. Entry fees are based on entries and not participation.
There will be no refunds. Fees are calculated on your registered athletes as of the Wednesday at 6:00 pm. You
are responsible for no shows or scratches once registration closes.
! NOTE - Any team that enters a meet and does not pay their entry fee, regardless of attendance, will not
be allowed to participate in future meets until payment is made. Also, your athletics director will be
contacted for payment.
" Late Fees (Entries submitted after the meet deadline)
! Teams must pay an additional $25.
! Individuals must pay an additional $10.
! Relay-only entries will be charged $30
" Coaches/individuals should pay their entry fee upon arrival.
" Entry Limit per team - FOUR (4) ENTRIES FOR RUNNING EVENTS AND TWO (2) ENTRIES FOR EACH RELAY.
ADDITIONAL ENTRIES WILL BE CHARGED $10 AND $5, RESPECTIVELY.
" ENTRIES ARE DUE ON Thursday, February 19th by 6:00 PM. LATE ENTRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED after
Friday, February 20th @ 12:00 pm!
" THE TIME SCHEDULE IS ON A SEPARATE ATTACHMENT
" Note: All High School Meets will go on as scheduled no matter what the weather situation is on the day of
competition. Only a government official declaring a state of emergency would cancel the meet.
There will be a coaches meeting at each meet 30 minutes prior to the start of the running events
There must be at least 150 athletes registered by the deadline prior to the meet or the meet will be canceled.
" MEET ENTRIES WILL BE DONE USING DIRECT ATHLETICS AT www.directathletics.com.
# All LATE entries need to be submitted to Kunle Lawson via e-mail at klawson@capital.edu - Information to
provide is: 1. Athlete Name, 2. School the athlete(s) is representing (or unattached), 3. Events to enter each
athlete in and 4. The entry mark (projected performance)
# IF YOU ARE TRYING TO ENTER AN UNATTACHED RELAY, please e-mail Kunle Lawson directly at
klawson@capital.edu - with the following information: 1. Team Name, 2. Relay to Participate and 3. Projected
Performance. Individual Athlete names are not needed.
# There will be a cut-off of 24 competitors in each of the vertical
jumps and 36 competitors in the horizontal jumps and throws.
# There will be a cut-off of 72 competitors in each of the running
events and 42 relay teams
# Due to safety concerns and space limitations, the meet will be
capped at 720 entries!" A performance list confirming all entries will be available Friday prior to each contest by 5 p.m.
" spikes will be permitted. Pole vaulters must stay on the mats next to the runway when wearing spikes.
" Locker Rooms and Showers will be available.
" The athletic training room will be open 1 hour prior to the start of the meet. Ice will be available to all athletes. Teams
requiring taping must bring their own supplies and it is preferred they get taped at either the BEGINNING of the field
events or BEGINNING OF THE RUNNING EVENTS. The Athletic training room is located on the east side of the
building.

" FINISH LYNX/HY-TEK TIMING WILL BE USED. Results will be posted at the completion of each event and
online at the conclusion of the meet.
" THE 200-meter track is a 6 lane IFS-2000 SRI Sport-molded Floor. We have an in-ground cement throwing ring and
a wooden throwing ring for both the shot and the weight throw, which may be utilized depending on time constraints.
The high jump and pole vaults are on the infield. The pole vault runway is a mondo super X that is 120 long. We will
utilize both long and triple jump runways. There are boards on both runways for those events.
" Weigh-ins will start 75 minutes before the first field event and close 15 minutes prior to the start of the shot put and
weight throw.
" There will be a concession stand open in the main lobby

" CHECKING-IN Athletes in running events must check-in 60 minutes prior to the start of their event at the clerks
table (Calls will be made over the PA system). Athletes in field events must check-in at their respective events 30
minutes prior to the start of the event after paying entry fee.
