If you wanted to see speed this weekend all you had to do was go to Kent State's Indoor track. The three fastest times in the state were all set here this weekend. Carlin Isles (Massillon-Jackson) set the pace, runnning a blazing 6.34 seconds in the 55m dash to open the meet. Isles was followed closely by Sophomore stud, Blake Heriot (Gahanna Lincoln), who came in with a time of 6.37, and also Anthony Chandler (Zanesville) who crossed the line in 6.48 seconds.

Heriot also took home the silver in the 200m, trailing only Mike Shaw (Trotwood-Madison), 21.89 to 22.08 seconds. These two times, plus Kendall Gregory's ( Strongsville) thrid place finish of 22.21 seconds are the three top times in he state currently. Shaw's time is the current U.S. #5 time in the 200m.

Gregory had the most impressive performance of the day, clocking a 47.99 400m dash. Gregory has the current U.S. #1 400m time in the nation, let alone in the state. Gregory also previously held the U.S. #1 in the 500m dash.
