In my haste to get an article up on the Asic's Hot Summer Bash and the US top 5 times that were run, I forgot that the temperatures had dropped in Ohio this weekend and that there were other top ranked Ohio boys running. I apologize. I should have waited and realized that every year, just like the Ohio State Buckeye football team, Ohio Cross Country just reloads from year to year. I just checked the National rankings and at this time - and I'm sure it will change - Maumee Sr. Zak Kirk not only ran an Ohio #1, but also a US #2 15:05.0 in winning at the Mel Brodt Invitational,

and Lake Catholic Sr. Jacob Keating and Solon Sr. Joe Riordan went 15:12.0 and 15:14.3 at the Kenston Frank Gibas Invitational. Those times would be US #3 and 4. That would move Dustin Horter, Matt Scrape and C.J. Ambosio to 6, 7 and 8 in the US rankings. Ohio has a great team!
No matter how the rankings end up as other times are reported, what a great weekend for Ohio and in particular our Ohio boys.
