Boys Race
Individual Qualifiers:
Austin Bever (Milford), Andrew Hills (Lakota East), Dan Bell (Harrison), Josh Harrell (Amelia), Nicholas El-Khoury and Drew DiSabatino (Turpin), Tony Pechiney and Craig Sulken (Colerain), Nick Vogele and Nathaniel Finney (Anderson), Sam Greer (Northmont), Jordan Redd (Fairborn), Aaron Dinzeo (Sidney), Gabe Ellis (Lebanon), Jimmy Alexander and Philip Bennett (Talawanda), Aaron Burk (Greenville), Steven Johnson (Bellbrook), Sam Blair (Springboro)
Prediction:
Mason and Centerville are the favorites here, both have been the top ranked team in the state at some point this season and the lowest either team has been ranked this season is fifth. This race is really going to come down to how well each team's fifth runner runs for who takes home the regional team title. LaSalle should easily finish in third as they have handled their competition nicely the last two weeks and have been running well as of late. Fourth place has a lot of contenders, Fairmont, St. Xavier, Elder, Oak Hills and even Lakota West could all challange for the final spot to state. St. Xavier or Elder are the safe picks here, but I am going to go out on a limb and pick Fairmont as they have looked solid the last two weeks as their runners that needed to drop time have done so.
Girls Race
Individual Qualifers:
Joanie Ma (Troy), Lizzie Gleason (C-J), Kendra Kirksey (Wayne), Chanel Stokes (Mt. Notre Dame), Elizabeth Tabor (Lakota East), Kayla Justice (McAuley), Anna Ahlrichs (Mother of Mercy), Shelby Gibbons (Western Brown), Jennifer Knippenberg (Little Miami)
Prediction:
Springboro, Colerain and St. Ursula all have legitimate shots at the Regional Crown. Look for Springboro to win as they have two girls capable of going sub 19. Second place will be battle also, Colerain seems to be back at full strength, while St. Ursula has been running well all year and is the deeper team, so look for St. Ursula to be the runner up with Colerain finishing third. For the fourth and final spot there are a few contenders on the girls side also. Centerville and Tecumseh are the first two that jump out, but it doesn't end there, Lakota West, Turpin and Sycamore could also challange for the last ticket to the state meet. Centerville edged out Tecumseh at the District race 41-48, so look for Centerville to maintain that lead, as they usually run good at the Regional meet and make a return trip to Scioto Downs.

Boys Race
Individual Qualifiers:
Tim Kuck (Mariemont), Mack Rice (Indian Hill), Nathan Braswell (Batavia), Brad Brasserman (Finneytown), Bryson Lewis (Blanchester), Gareth Garver (Greenon), Myles Corcoran and Shane Curtsinger (Clinton-Massie), Dustin Hines (Springfield Shawnee), Logan Leis (Benjamin Logan), Jake Kasperski (Valley View), Todd Hewitt (Eaton), Eric Harshbarger and Andrew Spencer (Springfield Northwestern), David Crumley (Hamilton Township), David Thompson and David Dennis (Sparta Highland), Paul Feltz (London)
Prediction:
Tippecanoe is the favorite here, and barring anything unexpected they will capture the Regional team title. Carroll and Bellefontaine could both challange for the runner up position at this region, with Carroll finishing second due to the fact that all seven of their runners have run near or below 17:30. Bellefontaine, rebounding from a medicore race at districts, will likely finish third as they will have a strong pack that will be able to finish in front of the other contending schools 4 and 5 runners. The final spot will come down to McNicholas, Kenton Ridge and Badin. I look for Badin to sneak by McNicholas and Kenton Ridge in a close score for the final spot
Girls Race
Individual Qualifers:
Olivia Hardtke (Taylor), Michelle Geiger (Norwood), Rachel Watt (Indian Lake) Vanessa Wilkins and Courtney Forsythe (Benjamin Logan), Katie Burkett and Kristi Kiracofe (Eaton), Mary Wensell and Marly Hrosch (Greenon), Rebekah Reese (Centennial), Carrie Borchers and Bailey Schnurr (Big Walnut), Ashley Smith (Licking Valley), Mary Brooks (Buckeye Valley)
Prediction:
Alter and Milton-Union will be the two teams to watch here. Alter should win the Regional Team Title on the strength of their 2-5 runners. Milton-Union could put two in front of Alter's first runner and make things interesting, but will have to have their 3, 4 and 5 girls step up to the challange to dethrone the reigning regional and state champs. Springfield Northwestern is the likely third place finisher, but if they falter at all, their season could be done. The fourth and final spot could go to one of three teams, McNicholas, Tippecanoe or Wyoming. If Tippecanoe can get their four and five runners to go sub 20, they will be the final team to make the trip to Scioto Downs, but if they can pull their final scorers along with the pack, then look for McNicholas, and a strong pack that can put all five girls accross the line in a short span of just 22 seconds to punch their ticket to Scioto Downs.

Boys Race
Individual Qualifiers:
Isaiah Bragg, Josiah Bragg and Lance Mayberry (Cincinnati Christian) Calvin Cahall and Cody Patrick (Georgetown), David Curtin and Andrew Wallace (Cincinnati Hills Christian), Vincent Schlagbaum (Maderia), Jordan Engel (Miami Valley Christian Academy), Elliot Watson (Miami Valley School), Tyler Roeth and Kevin Holthaus (Houston), Jack DeFord (Miami East), Michael Schaffner and Kevin Stewart (Mechanicsburg), Seth Wisener (Lincolnview), Jonathan Rex (Spencerville), Adam Wierwille and Brad Lucia (New Knoxville), Garret Glecker and Matt Bittner (Crestview Convoy)
Prediction:
Russia. They repeat as the regional champion in a seemingly easy race for them as their real challange will be next week at Scioto Downs. Following Russia there are seven teams vying for the final three spots in St. Henry, Coldwater, Lehman Catholic, Minster, New Bremen, Fort Loramie and Yellow Springs. New Bremen and Minster are the safe picks for finsihing second and third, respectively (as New Bremen beat Minster at their district race). The final spot is a tough one to call, if Lehman Catholic can get back to running near their PR's or even setting some PR's at the regional course they will be running in November, but if they run how they did at their district meet, losing to Yellow Springs and Fort Loramie, then look for Coldwater to sneak in and grab the fourth and final spot to qualify for the state meet.
Girls Race
Individual Qualifers:
Chelsea Makeever (Crestline), Taylor Mohr (Wynford), Casey Patterson (Lincolnview), Lauren Dehan (Maderia), Sarah Rabourn and Sarah Austin (Seven Hills), Lindsey Mead (Cincinnati Christian), Elise Bernhard (Purcell Marian), Molli Muterspaw (Waynesville), Allison Roeth (Houston), Jessica Brant (Troy Christian), Juli Accurso (Miami East), Angie Cates (Arcanum), Beth Zimpfer (Jackson Center), Marie Egbert (Southeastern Local)
Prediction:
This will be the toughest region to get out of in the state, regardless of division or gender. According to the October 15th OATCCC Coaches Poll, this region has seven of the top 11 teams, SEVEN! Their probably isn't even another region that has seven of the top 20 teams in it. And this region has the top four teams according to the October 15th poll, top ranked Minster, 2nd ranked Seneca East, third ranked Versailles, fourth ranked Spencerville. The other ranked teams are sixth ranked Fort Loramie, ninth ranked Russia, and eleventh ranked Coldwater. Minster and Seneca East should be locks, as they are above and beyond the other teams in this region. Spencerville will likely finish third. Fort Loramie defeated Versailles at the district meet, but Versailles did not run Mary Prakel. If Prakel was just resting, look for Versailles to finish fourth at Troy, but if Prakel is injured, they could struggle, and will likely not make it out in this tough region, with Fort Loramie likely finishing fourth and moving on to Scioto Downs.
