Jakari Lumsden of Austintown Fitch HS won the High Jump event at the Optimist Meet.
The recent Optimist Meet was hosted by Austintown Fitch High School and MileSplit Ohio was in attendance to cover the track and field action.
Kayla Thompson of Stow-Munroe Falls High School won the 100m hurdles race with her time of 15.45 and she also took 1st place in the Long Jump event with her jump of 15-11.75.

Austintown Fitch's Lauren Dolak took the 800m race win with her 2:22.93 effort and Lauren Jones of Garfield High School won the Discus competition with her throw of 152-04.

Alexis Cunningham of East Palestine High School won the 1600m race with her time of 5:22.94 and Miranda Stanhope of Badger High School took the win in the 3200m event with her 11:34.49 result.

Travis Moore of Marietta High School won the 110m hurdles race with his time of 14.90 and he also took the win in the 300m hurdles event with his time of 39.23. Moore's result of 38.91 in the 300m hurdles prelims race represents an Ohio #4 for the outdoor season. Kaleb East of Twinsburg High School claimed the 200m race win with his 23.51 finishing time.

Nick Miller of Wadsworth High School won the 1600m race with his time of 4:22.42 and St. Edward's Trevor Wright took the win in the 3200m event with his 9:45.88 effort.
